Household profiles

Each profile uses a typical monthly usage based on household size. Estimates use the EIA all-in average residential rate — delivery, fixed charges, and utility fees are already inside it; locally billed taxes vary by area. Where the utility's fixed monthly charge is known from our itemized fee data, estimates are modeled as two-part bills (fixed charge + per-kWh usage), so low- and high-usage profiles track how bills are actually charged.
